Overview

High-risk prostate cancer has a greater chance of spreading or returning and commonly requires treatment that combines radiation therapy with ADT. The recommended radiation fields, dose and duration of hormone therapy depend on the patient’s stage, grade group, PSA, imaging, health and treatment goals.

Some patients may be considered for treatment of the pelvic lymph nodes or other treatment intensification. These choices require individualized discussion of potential cancer-control benefits, side effects and competing health risks.
